We All Have The Power To Make A Difference In The Choices We Make
Keep The Flow Going And Make A Contribution
World, Water and Health – Short Film by Brandy Amstel
Water is critical to our existence. Sure I knew that at some level…I have been through biology class. And one day in what would appear as a total random moment….I heard that same information at the right time and got it at a whole other level.
On my journey through life, I have personally experienced the power of awareness to small things in life that can have a huge impact. As I was introduced to the importance of water on a new level. More and more opened up and I found myself compelled to use my skills as a filmmaker to share my findings…to help provide a voice to some of the truths about our basic right as human beings sharing the earth…WATER.
In this short film, I get to shed light on some of the lesser known bits of information about the bottled water industry and how it impacts the whole…our health, our environment, and global communities. The film also highlights the water that I find to be the best water on the planet and that I have consumed for over a decade. I feel the impacts of proper hydration in my own body… and I have witnessed often in others tremendous results that cannot be necessarily explained in traditional medicine. What I do know is that…what I feel is real for me. My invitation for you as you watch the film is to be open to a new perspective and see what might open up for you out of the information presented. I believe that we all must feel into what is right for us individually…what is in alignment with our highest at this particular time.
The film above was created in 2009. Wow! I can’t even believe that much time has gone by. As I watch the film today, I’m struck with how many of the numbers reported have only increased. And as there are a few things like recycling that we may have gotten somewhat better over the years…the number of people and consumption has increased dramatically.
Here are a few of the highlights that are talked about in the film. As the filmmaker there are so many considerations that come into play when presenting a film…One of which I feel that must be mentioned to give some context. This film was created for a very niche audience…thousands of people all over the world have seen the film and for that I am extremely grateful. It screened at conferences, universities and in corporate settings as well as shared individually through a Water Filter Distribution company. My sharing it with you today is to give it a place to live on and be useful where it is meant to be seen.

The environmental impact is three-fold:
- Plastic waste in the environment
- Energy and Oil consumption
- Impact on local communities
The impact to our health is through over-acidity and dehydration.
